Two tours daily -- River Journey at 11:15 am and Ocean Journey at 2:30 pm. Each one takes about 45 minutes. Aquarium admission is required. Due to safety concerns, children under age 6 are not permitted. Your Tennessee Aquarium experience will take at least two hours, and includes admission to two buildings: River Journey and Ocean Journey. Your tickets are good all day, so feel free to catch a bite or sneak a peek at an IMAX 3D film between buildings. When scheduling your visit or IMAX film time, remember Chattanooga is in the Eastern Time Zone. Aquarium tickets are sold online, at the Aquarium's ticketing center or at the IMAX box office. First admittance to the Aquarium is at 10 a.m. with last admittance at 6 p.m. Eastern Time. Buildings close at 7:30.  The Gift Shops close at 6:30 p.m. The Aquarium and IMAX 3D Theater are open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas day.

This is an amazing aquarium! You can easily spend all day here between the two separate fresh and saltwater museums plus special exhibit. Tennessee Aquarium is the best that we've ever visited! Family friendly and affordable. This is a must see if you are visiting Chattanooga. Although other regional aquariums are larger or have attractions such as beluga whales, the Tennessee Aquarium still tops them all.
