Usually 2x4s are around $2.50 per 8 ft. Still, if you don't feel like building a stand, a cinder block stand is very easy and it's actually cheaper minus the screws.

You can use (3-4) 8 x 8 x 8" corner cinder blocks under each of the four corners of the tank so the tank sits 24-32" high. The corner blocks are $1.50 each. You can stack another 6-8 blocks in between, 3-4 under the front center and 3-4 under the back center for a total of 18-24 blocks for around $27-35. It's a good idea to add one sheet of plywood between the cinder blocks for structural support and for shelving. Another sheet should be used on top of the cinder blocks and if no center blocks are used 2x4s should be added under the top plywood for structural support. Regular cinder blocks can be used but they can't be stacked on top of each other long ways because they aren't designed to bear weight in that direction. NOTE: The pictures are for illustration purposes only. These designs will not work on a 125 with 16" blocks running from front to back. A 125 has an 18.5" depth and each of the corners must be supported with separate columns/blocks positioned directly under each of the tank's four corners.
