You'll require a clear sleeve, a Quick Roll of colour, two end caps, a knife and a rod or pole to stuff the sleeve. 2. Unwind the roll of gel to the length of the sleeve. 3. Cut the gel slightly longer than the length of the sleeve. 4. Wrap the gel tightly around the rod or pole. 5. Holding the gel tightly around the rod or pole feed it into one end of the sleeve, then push through the sleeve until it comes out the other end. 6. Remove the rod or pole from the sleeve, leaving the gel inside the sleeve. 7. Trim off any excess gel from the ends of the sleeve. 8. Place end caps on both ends of the sleeve. Talented students win competition to design new George Home range We’ve teamed up with with design colleges to support up-and-coming British design talent – like students Amy Cole and Christie White. Amy and Christie won a competition we ran for students to create eye-catching work which could feature in our George Home range next year. The pair, who are studying at Leeds College of Art, will be welcomed into Asda head office for a work experience placement with the George design team. Our brilliant colleague Jodie Boyd-Ward combines working at our Middleton store with playing wheelchair rugby league for England and Leeds Rhinos. She’s playing for Leeds Rhinos this weekend and has been selected for the England Wheelchair Rugby League at at the World Cup in July – and colleagues at the store couldn’t be more proud of her! Colleagues celebrate 40 years' service at store's birthday party Our fab colleagues Maureen Taylor and Irene Stacey have worked at Asda Stanley since it opened in 1977 – so colleagues made them guests of honour as the store celebrated its 40th anniversary. Maureen and Irene were given flowers, chocolates and a cake during a special presentation with colleagues – and customers got involved too by playing various games throughout the day. “The presentation was a nice surprise for both of us,” said Irene.
