Andrea Arnold's directing style is over-indebted to France's Dardenne brothers, following her protagonist with a wobbly hand-held camera in documentary style throughout. There are flashes of wit in the screenplay, as when the kid sister expresses her affection for Connor in characteristically back-handed fashion: 'I like you  -  I'll kill you last.'But overall it's a disjointed, inconsequential script which meanders along without any attempt at social or psychological analysis. Events happen that don't reveal much about anyone or anything. Arnold's first movie, Red Road, had promise. This merely has pretensions, summed up in a title that suggests something the rest of the film doesn't  -  that our heroine's problems may be caused by her being constantly on display.This may be true of Katie Price, but certainly isn't true of this stroppy teenager.
