Our four year old son had a great time searching for the creatures. We spent about an hour and a half at the aquarium. Very interactive and the staff are incredibly informative. Highly recommend to break up a long trip. This is a great activity for the holiday visit to Coffs. The kids get to see feelings and touch sea creatures. An informative movie is great to learn about the regions marine ecosystem. It's amazing to see all the fish and sea creatures they were all so colour and it was a great day with the teens as well, so it was fun. They promote ocean and aquatic care and provide unlimited information. I wish we could have stayed longer but we had to leave to catch our flight. I would definitely recommend a visit to the Solitary Islands Aquarium if you... This is a university research facility which has some interesting displays. There is also a play boat and magnetic fishing game plus various hands on trays. The introductory film was rather long, even for us adults and the talk before the fish feeding was rather lengthy too and our toddler couldn't last to see the actual feeding the staff were very happy to share their knowledge with any guest, even the most inquisitive youngsters.

The animals appear to be happy and healthy, however we're not sure about the octopus as it escaped recently. It was also great to be able to handle some of the animals.
