Have you tried removing the impeller, cleaning it well by removing detritus, then soaking it in distilled white vinegar? We would also recommend using a q tip or twisted paper towel to swab out the motor region as well. There will be about 1" of the intake tube that is still on the bottom of the motor (this is a cover plate) Pull this away from the remainder of the pump. Inside you should see a fan blade that you can pull out and clean both the impeller and the inside of the motor assembly. When you go to reinstall this, please make sure that you plug the motor in first, then replace the impeller to see if the unit will begin spinning. If not, then you will need a replacement motor. Unfortunately, if the motor is completely dead, then you would be looking at getting a different setup, as these units are discontinued. MINI Hello I have a 37 gallon Eclipse. A 37 gallon is 30" long x 12" wide. BREX filter not working I'm not sure if you are saying the water you add to the filter to prime is returning to your tank by way of the outlet diffuser or if your pump motor is running backwards. If there is no response by the impeller/motor, you may simply have a clog and need to clean the impeller. If your pump filtration motor is unresponsive, it needs to be replaced. If the filter motor is running backwards, you simply need a new impeller as the magnetism on the impeller has somehow changed and is now spinning in the opposite direction.
