Was my first time ever staying at canad inns club regent I loved it so pretty clean and all staff was so kind to us. Nice big casino ......didnt like the buffet downstairs ( not my thing ) but is reasonable price for a buffet . lots of great slot machines -nice atmosphere We had a GREAT chicken Caesar salad,with yummy chicken fingers and homemade fries. The service was good and the staff friendly. Well, the slots seldom pay, the food is horrible everything is very, very greasy and over salted. given the average age not a smart idea. Buffet unless you know is in the basement it used to be good loved the weekend brunch. I swear for the past ten years they have been renovating. Either they have lousy... We went there from work for a retirement dinner. We were in basement for the buffet. Lots of room for large group that evening. Food was ok but not great. We have seen some great shows at Club Regent including The Zombies, Rodger Hodgson (Supertramp) etc. Excellent acoustics and sound quality.
Have been to several shows at Club Regent Casino Event Center and have enjoyed all of them with the exception of one ---"The Price is Right" which took place last fall. This was a take-off on the popular TV game show with the same name. The Winnipeg production of "The Price is Right" was a poor copy of the original... “BIG Improvement for Jaguars” “Warm food, cold plates, no dancing @ Jaguars” “Not Fun Anymore ----” We took in the casino's Thanksgiving weekend dinner special in October 2016 and were totally disappointed with the selection and quality of the food. The presentation was drab, the food tasteless and the service was unfriendly and lacked knowledge i.e. could not tell you what kind of cakes were offered - which by the way, ALL the desserts looked like... Its always under construction, its always cold to walk in that place and it really is not as accessible as you would think. It has a hotel connected to it but it is not owned by casino, so its stupid pricey if you spend money in the casino and LOSE!!
Its good if you have a players club card as... The updates have made Club Regent look better but it still does not function like a real casino. The staff on the floor of the casino wander around talking with each other and spend too much time watching machines - so much so that it feels invasive. Nevada casino staff do not hover and wander back and forth aimlessly.
