I love fish, I visited the blue reef aquarium over the weekend, have not been there in years, its great fun, there were childrens groups there and they were having a blast. I loved the otters We visited today with good expectations as we both used to visit the aquarium when we were younger. We were met with expensive prices and then whilst walking through the aquarium came across what appears to be a dead shark (pictures included with this review) and then what also looked like a dead jellyfish.

Along with this quite a lot... We used hampshire attractions kids go free so for tenner for myself and my son was OK. It's not big we eked it out to a couple of hours, it's interesting although the pictures of fish don't always seem to match the tank and some are too dark to see. We listened to the Ray talk and feeding and the... We visited here yesterday with 2 children and downloaded 'kids go free' vouchers from 'Hampshire attractions online'. So we paid for 2 adults on arrival and didn't have to pay for our 2 children. Thank you very much for that. The staff were great at the Aquarium, really friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the colouring table and the chance to... I am afraid that we found this attraction very overpriced and disappointing. We took our twelve year old granddaughter for a visit as she loves aquariums. She said she enjoyed it but we thought it was all very shabby and in need of an overhaul. Much of the information was out of date and vague. The receptionist tried to sell...

Came here to burn some time whilst on the way to Southampton with a toddler. It isn't cheap and it only takes a maximum of 45 minutes to work your way around. I would not recommend going. this was a nice place to visit and lots to see , lots of exotic fish and shows and feeding displays , abit smelly and wet floor when walking around , plenty to see and do good for children of all ages and adults , good priced too , lots of parking around the sea front childrens play area out... Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we really appreciate it. It's great to see that you enjoyed your visit and took in the wide variety of fish we have. We have lots of events throughout the year and these can be seen on our website. We took our young grandchildren there, and were disappointed at the smelly and run down atmosphere throughout the centre. This needs a total refit or close it down. The prices were ridiculous. The cafe adjoining it was even worse.

Surprised it is allowed to trade. I'm sorry to see that you didn't enjoy your visit. The smell you would have experienced on the day would have come from our Otter enclosure. Otters are part of the mustelid family and will scent mark their enclosure to feel comfortable. We spent an excellent 90 minutes going around this great aquarium. Lots of different tanks with a wide range of fish to see, as well as a few surprises. We particularly enjoyed the Reeves Turtle and the Otters. Really enthusiastic and knowledgable staff with some nice interpretation. A great stop on a lovely walk along the front from Southsea to... It's fantastic to see that you enjoyed your visit, particularly the Otters and Welly our Reeves Turtle. Welly is such a funny character and loves getting lots of attention from visitors! Not the biggest aquarium in the UK, but probably one of the nicest. Takes about an hour to go around, the exhibits are interesting, and it's obvious that the inhabitants are very well looked after.
